About Our grants
A Giving Heart Foundation (AGHF) offers biannual research awards focused on innovative proposals that aim to improve the lives and outcomes of children living with congenital heart disease. We seek forward-looking research that aligns with our mission and addresses meaningful challenges in pediatric cardiology.
Most recently, AGHF has funded work advancing technology designed to reduce the need for open-heart surgery in children with CHD. Competitive proposals demonstrate a high level of innovation in treatment, diagnosis, or technology, along with the potential to transform patient outcomes. Priority is given to projects with long-term impact, including scalability to broader clinical use and the ability to attract future funding for continued research.

Applicants should be affiliated with an academic medical institution where patients with congenital heart disease are cared for, and the principal investigators hold a doctoral-level degree. Proposals for multiple principal investigators will be considered but for award distribution, a single contact investigator and corresponding institution shall be named.
